There's been a fair amount of activity in the digital product space lately, and our teams have been releasing a lot of new exciting features on the web.
We're now truly beginning to see the fruits of the hard labour we've put into VCC UI and the upcoming Volvo Cars Design system, and yet, we've only just begun!
To highlight this achievement, we've collected a few insights from product teams on their experience of using VCC UI.
Our new car subscription service is gearing up! The team has recently deployed a brand new customized web experience to multiple markets.
By utilizing the shared components and tooling we've been able to do a complete product overhaul and launch in several markets on a very tight schedule. We can iterate fast, and we're able to feed learnings back to the VCC UI framework to the benefit of other teams and products.
Software Engineer, Care By Volvo
The Onboarding & Support team in Stockholm have been hard at work improving the experience for our existing car owners.
Our team launched a new support website with the VCC UI framework at its core for the Design System and UI elements. Looking back, this would not have been doable on schedule and with quality without it. Notable time savers was definitely launching a RTL (Right-to-Left) language market (Arabic, Egypt). A breeze!

The Car Configurator has been completely refactored and equipped with a new trims selection page which has performed significantly better than it's predecessor.
VCC UI has been a great source of foundational building blocks that are consistently kept up to date and improved upon. It has also provided a great way to avoid UX and Design fragmentation across products. As VCC UI has matured, so has our ability to create new well functioning and well designed software in an efficient manner.
